Managed to miss the Fratellis without too much difficulty, cant remember what was on at the same time but it would have been better, perhaps it was just a West coast jakey spewing into his baseball cap.
I had a good TiTP perhaps it was because my expectations were so low due to the monsoon Thursday we had in Aberdeenshire which resulted in me purchasing a rucksack full of storm waterproofs and the rather poor line up on offer.
As to the weekend the Racontours and The Music would be my highlights, slightly disappointed with Seasick Steve who proved to be a one trick pony and 45 minutes was a good quarter of an hour too long. Heard Winehouse and Nash as I passed the main stage and they sounded awful. Los Campasinos (who I know nothing of) were an entertaining listen as was Paul Heaton who had the best banter of the weekend with the crowd. Missed Twilight Sad and Glasvegas due to timepiece bafflement of an alcohol nature although when I eventually reached the Glasvegas tent it was packed out and 50 deep around the tent.
As to the camping it was good, got to laugh at the fesival virgins who pitch their tents on the edge of paths or at the enterance to the arena ....... the slurry mud around their tents and the glum faces by Saturday night are a joy to behold. Im sure I say this every year but I cant see why folk dont take bin bags with them to put their rubbish in the amount of folk sitting round their tents with sh*t laying around them is remarkable ......... perhaps they're just waiting for their mums to pick it up.
